Vol. 218 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Clerical Grades in State-Sponsored Bodies.

27.

asked the Minister for Health what cases are outstanding concerning claims in respect of remuneration payable to recruitment clerical grades in State-sponsored bodies under the aegis of his Department; and if he will give details in each case.

A claim is outstanding in respect of only one body of the kind referred to in the question and relates to four clerks employed by that body. A revised salary scale rising from a minimum of £380 to a maximum of £670 a year was approved with effect from 1st February, 1964. This scale is the same as that awarded, following arbitration proceedings, to clerk typists employed in the Local Government services. The body concerned have, however, submitted a proposal for a further revision so as to provide a maximum of £14 a week, and this is under consideration.

There is no fear of the blowlamp being used on that?
