Vol. 218 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Medical Card Applicant.

32.

asked the Minister for Health if a local authority should grant a medical services card to an applicant with total family income of £10.5.0. per week, and a wife and six children to support.

Mr. O'Malley

The determination of eligibility for general medical services in any particular case is a matter for the health authority concerned. While I have no function in the matter, I would like to think that a person in the circumstances stated in the question, would be deemed eligible for general medical services.
