Special mileage allowances are payable to two officers in Dublin, whose areas are mainly urban, at the rate of 3½d. per mile. In Cork the normal rates apply subject to an annual limit of £100 to the two officers based in Cork City whose areas extend up to six miles outside the city.

asked the Minister for Defence the daily, weekly or mileage cycle allowance applicable to supervisory civilian employees employed under his Department in 1950 and in 1965.
The rate applicable in both years is 1/-per week.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the daily, weekly or mileage cycle allowance applicable to postmen in 1950 and in 1965.
Postmen who use their private cycles regularly for official purposes are paid weekly allowances. The particulars requested are as follows:
