Vol. 218 No. 8

Written Answers. - Closing of Cork Firm.

59.

Mr. Barrett

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has any information regarding the rumoured closing down of a firm (name supplied) which has caused widespread concern in Cork city and county.

I understand that the firm concerned is being closed down as part of a general scheme of re-organisation by the group by which it is owned, and that the re-organisation is expected to lead to an expansion of the group's business as a whole.
