asked the Taoiseach the amount of money spent on imported cat and dog food in this country in the last 12 months.

Imports of dog biscuits and other dog and cat food in the twelve months ended September, 1965, the latest period for which details are available, were valued c.i.f. at £139,540.

Where was this food imported from mainly?

From countries that export dog and cat food to Ireland.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary name the countries concerned?

Yes, if the Deputy will put down a separate question.
