The only local offices of the Department of Social Welfare in the areas defined as Gaeltacht areas by the Gaeltacht Areas Order 1956 are Dingle, Dungloe, Achill and Belmullet.
Certain other offices, though not situated in Gaeltacht areas, serve such areas.
With your permission, Sir, I propose to circulate in the Official Report a statement showing the number of persons on the live register on the dates in question, at each of the offices in both categories mentioned above.
