Vol. 219 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Heating of Leinster House.

40.

asked the Minister for Finance why alternative heating equipment provided for Leinster House is of a type at least 20 years behind the times.

I presume that the Deputy has in mind the present temporary heating arrangements in the House.

The heaters provided are, I am advised, of modern design and manufacture and have a relatively high heat output. In the circumstances obtaining and having regard to considerations of safety it would not be practicable to provide a more effective system of heating.
