Vol. 219 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Land Division.

112.

asked the Minister for Lands if he is aware of the importance of expediting the division of land in County Galway as it would greatly increase the beet output for the Tuam beet factory; and what steps he proposes to take in this matter.

Unremitting effort is made to dispose of lands on hands of the Land Commission in County Galway and in the country generally as rapidly as possible. During the last three complete financial years the aggregate area allotted in County Galway was approximately 22,150 acres and it is expected that an area in the region of 7,000 acres will be allotted in the current year.
