Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Water and Sewerage Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government what is the present position regarding the implementation of the water and sewerage schemes at Roseberry, Newbridge. County Kildare; and when he expects to sanction the preliminary report on these schemes submitted to him by Kildare County Council for approval.

Preliminary proposals for the proposed sewerage scheme which were received on 26th October are at present under examination. Pending the receipt of further technical details, which were requested on 3rd December, examination of the preliminary report on the water supply extension has been deferred.

I am not at present in a position to say when a decision on these proposals will issue.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he expects to give approval to the contract documents for sewerage extensions at Kilberry, County Kildare, which were submitted to him by Kildare County Council.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he will give his approval to the contract documents for the proposed sewerage scheme for Kilberry, Athy, County Kildare.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 72 and 73 together.

Contract documents for this scheme which were received on 22nd October are at present under examination. I am not in a position to state when a decision will issue.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he expects to sanction the preliminary report on a sewerage scheme for Ballytore which was submitted to him by Kildare County Council.

The preliminary proposals for this scheme, which were received in my Department on 16th November, are at present under examination. I am not in a position to state when sanction will issue.
