No record is maintained in my Department indicating the total outlay of each harbour authority on harbour improvement or extension over the past 15 years. Information in regard to (c), (d) and (e) of the question, in respect of specific works carried out by harbour authorities scheduled under the Harbours Act, 1946 and for which grants from the Department have been made available is set out in the tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report. This information does not cover projects executed without State assistance by scheduled harbour authorities. The statement contains the name of every scheduled harbour authority in the country.
