Vol. 221 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Water Supply Schemes.

31.

asked the Minister for Local Government why the plans for the proposed Ballyhea group water scheme, Charleville, County Cork are not yet sanctioned by his Department.

32.

asked the Minister for Local Government the cause of the delay by his Department in giving approval to a group water supply for Ballyinadrideer, Charleville, County Cork.

I propose with you permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 31 and 32 together.

The financial resources of the group, by way of grants and cash contributions, are not sufficient to meet the estimated cost of the work, and the possibility of a contribution by the Cork County Council to meet the cost of certain items is at present being examined in my Department.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government if there are any proposals before his Department for the supply of water in the following areas: Bawnfaune, Kilmanahan, Russellstown, Knocklucas and Tickincor, County Waterford; and, if so, when he expects that a supply of piped water will be made available.

There are no proposals before my Department for provision of a water supply to these areas.
