Vol. 221 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Breakage of Telephone Wires.

67.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if the telephone wires to a house in Balbutcher Lane, Ballymun, County Dublin, have been broken on a number of occasions by the heavy machinery working on the adjoining building site; and if he will take steps to ensure that this unnecessary interruption to service does not recur.

The line has been damaged as stated, but it is not possible to eliminate completely the risk of a recurrence, as the subscriber's premises are in the centre of an area where intensive building development, involving the use of heavy earth moving plant, is in progress.
