Vol. 223 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tipperary Hospital.

30.

asked the Minister for Health when the additional wing for St. Vincent's Hospital, Tipperary was sanctioned; and what is the cause of the delay in providing it.

Mr. O'Malley

I understand that planning of the proposed scheme of extensions to St. Vincent's Hospital, Tipperary, is nearing completion. My Department has already given general approval for the working drawings for the scheme. I am informed by the health authority that the final plans have been prepared by the architect and that the bill of quantities is expected to be available in the near future. I am unable to say as yet when work on the scheme will commence.
