Vol. 224 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Planning Permission.

33.

asked the Minister for Local Government if a building has been erected in the garden of 15 Harrington Street, Dublin, eight yards from a dwelling; if planning permission for this building was refused by Dublin Corporation in 1965; if an appeal was made to him; and if there have been objections to this building by local residents.

On 3rd September, 1965, an application was made to Dublin Corporation for planning permission for the construction of an extension to an existing cleaning works located in Synge Lane at the rear of 15 Harrington Street. By order dated the 29th October, 1965, Dublin Corporation decided to refuse the permission sought and on 1st December an appeal against this decision was received in my Department. An objection to the grant of any permission in this case, was also received by me from the occupier of an adjoining house. A decision on the appeal will be made as soon as possible.
