40.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction the proposals of Donegal County Council for speed limit areas in Gortahork and Burtonport.

41.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange for a speed limit for Newcastle, County Dublin starting at the Rathcoole side of the county council scheme of cottages in Ballinakelly.

42.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider the erection of a speed limit sign for the village of Ardfinnan, County Tipperary, in view of the fact that this village has a large population and a large industry.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 40, 41 and 42 together.

The desirability of applying a speed limit to the villages in question will be considered during the review of speed limits on all public roads at present being carried out. The representations of local authorities and others will be borne in mind during the course of this review.
