Vol. 225 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Land Sales.

89.

andMr. O.J. Flanagan asked the Minister for Lands the total area of land involved in the consents to land sales to non-nationals and companies under the Land Act, 1965.

I would refer the Deputies to my reply to their previous questions on the 8th instant. The total acreage represented by the 107 consents mentioned in that reply was 7,350 acres. About 4,000 acres, that is, more than half of the area involved was accounted for by six transactions involving substantial areas which were either unsuitable or not required for land settlement or afforestation purposes.
