Dáil Éireann debate -
Thursday, 17 Nov 1966

Vol. 225 No. 8

Committee on Finance. - Report of Committee of Public Accounts.

I move: That the Report of the Committee of Public Accounts on the Appropriation Accounts, 1964-65, be laid before the Dáil and that the Report, Proceedings, Minutes of Evidence and Appendices be printed.

Question put and agreed to.

There are 158 Questions for oral answer on the Order Paper. It is now 2.30 p.m. Does the Taoiseach intend to resume Business after questions? I imagine they should run until 5 o'clock. It would hardly be worth while to start back on the debate again.

I agree. It would hardly be worth while.

It is proposed, then, to finish questions and to adjourn?

Does that mean that we should sit beyond 5 o'clock, if necessary, to finish the questions?

Yes. We usually finish them on a Thursday. If everybody answers questions in full there would not be any need for supplementary questions.
