Vol. 225 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing of Tipperary-Waterford Gardaí.

117.

asked the Minister for Justice what proposals he has under consideration at present for the rehousing of Gardaí in South Tipperary and West Waterford.

It is proposed to provide a new station and one set of married quarters at Ardfinnan, Cappawhite, Emly, Hollyford, and Kilsheelan in South Tipperary, and at Ardmore, Aglish, Ballyduff, Cappagh, Cappoquin and Lismore in West Waterford.

Contracts have been placed for the erection of two Garda houses at Cashel; three houses at Cahir; three houses at Carrick-on-Suir; and two houses at Tipperary.

Also, two houses, in addition to the three houses provided there recently, are at present under construction at Dungarvan, and are expected to be completed in a few months time.

On a point of order, I want to refer back to Question No. 114.

We have already passed from that question.

On a point of order——

There are no points of order during Question Time.

I want to give notice that I intend to raise Question No. 114 on the Adjournment.

The Chair would like to inform the Deputy that notice should be given before 3.30 and it cannot be accepted at this late stage.

If you want to win on a technical knock-out, Sir, you are welcome, but that will not satisfy the people of Limerick when I return to them.

On a point of order, surely that cannot be correct?

Surely when Questions are in progress, if a Deputy is dissatisfied with the answer, he must have the right to raise it on the Adjournment?

The next sitting day.

I had not finished my supplementary questions when the Chair called the next question.
