Vol. 226 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Heated Swimming Pools.

14.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will consider the possibility of making a special grant to Dublin Corporation to enable that body to undertake a comprehensive scheme for the provision of indoor heated swimming baths in the city.

Generous State assistance which takes the form of a contribution from my Department towards the repayment of loan charges on moneys borrowed for the provision of pools is available to sanitary authorities, including Dublin Corporation, towards the cost of swimming pools. It is not proposed to make any change in the method of assistance in the case of indoor heated pools.
