Vol. 226 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Kildare Cemetery.

15.

asked the Minister for Local Government why the local authority have not carried out the work of extending the cemetery at Kilshanchoe, Carbury, County Kildare; the date on which an application was made to him for sanction; and the date on which the proposal was sanctioned.

Proposals for the provision of an extension to Kilshanchoe cemetery, Carbury, County Kildare, have not yet been submitted to my Department.

Somebody is not telling the truth. I thought it came up in October.

It has been ascertained from Kildare County Council that the site has been purchased, plans are being prepared and the local authority should be in a position shortly to submit a proposal. It is intended to raise a loan for the purpose but the plans have not yet come to the Department.

I have a letter stating that they sent them up in October.
