Vol. 226 No. 8

Written Answers. - Farm Expenditure on Rates.

110.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state in expansion of a reply of 8th February, 1967 in relation to the estimated farm expenditure on rates of £8,100,000 in 1965 the estimated portion of this figure attributable to (i) buildings and (ii) land; and the amount of rates which would have been payable but for the Relief of Rates Acts.

It is estimated that rates on farm buildings account for £1.0 million of the estimated total farm expenditure on rates of £8.1 million. The amount of rates which would have been payable but for the Relief of Rates Acts is £20.6 million.
