Vol. 226 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Finglas (Dublin) Sub-Postoffice.

10.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if arrangements have been finalised in the matter of replacing the sub-postoffice on Ballygall Road, Finglas East, Dublin; and what steps have been taken to advise members of the public where they can obtain the substituted post office service.

The vacancy was readvertised, candidates were interviewed recently, and it is hoped to make an appointment shortly. In the meantime the special arrangements for the payment of social welfare pensions and allowances are being continued. The recipients of these payments were informed of the special arrangements following the closing of the former sub-postoffice.

It has not been considered necessary to advise the public generally of these arrangements in view of their restricted character.
