asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of non-contributory pensions in County Donegal which were reduced owing to the revision of British pensions; and the total amount withdrawn by his Department.

Statistics of these cases are not kept separately in respect of each county.

The adjustments in Irish pensions following the increases in British pensions enabled a sum of £195,000 approximately to be diverted towards the financing of the increases granted under the Social Welfare Act, 1966.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of (a) contributory old age pensioners and (b) non-contributory old age pensioners in County Donegal.

The numbers are (a) 1,385 and (b) 7,439.

81.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the number of old age pensioners in County Donegal who received the recent 5/- increase.

Statistics of pensioners who received the 5/- increase have not been compiled in respect of each county.
