Vol. 227 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Rates Relief.

11.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is prepared to amend section 2 of the Rates on Agricultural Land (Relief) Act, 1962, in view of the fact that the provisions of the 1964 Act expired on 31st March, 1967 and must now come up for renewal; and if he will take this opportunity to amend the minimum qualifying age limit for male workers from 1st January, 1966 to the date in that and subsequent years on which they attain 16 years of age.

12.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will make provision to allow an abatement of rates in respect of a boy of 16 years of age on a farm.

I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 11 and 12 together.

I would refer the Deputies to my reply of 9th February last to Questions Nos. 46 and 47 by Deputy O. Flanagan on the subject.
