Vol. 227 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Planning Appeals.

13.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state, for each local authority in respect of each appeal determined by him since the coming into operation of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, where he reversed the decision of the local authority, (a) the date of his decision, (b) the name of the applicant, (c) the premises concerned, and (d) the nature of the work to be done.

This information is not readily available from the records of my Department. To compile it would necessitate an examination of the papers relating to each of the 1,858 appeals formally determined in the period mentioned. This would place an inordinate demand on the time of the Department's staff.

The date and effect of each appeal decision is entered in the local planning register which is available for inspection by the public.
