Vol. 227 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pension and Sick Pay Schemes.

27.

asked the Minister for Defence if a decision has yet been made by his Department with regard to (a) a pension scheme and (b) a sick-pay scheme for manual workers employed by his Department for whom no scheme is already in existence.

The introduction of a pension scheme for the employees referred to by the Deputy is a matter for the Minister for Finance. As regards a sick pay scheme the matter is still under consideration and it is hoped that a decision will be reached at an early date.

Question No. 28 postponed.
