Vol. 228 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Payment of Old Age Pension.

16.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why a person (particulars supplied) who is 93 years old and a complete invalid did not get her new old age pension book when her old book expired; and if he is aware that she has suffered hardship because she has not drawn any payment for the last four weeks.

An increase in pension has been granted in this case and the appropriate pension books to enable the pensioner to receive the higher rate have been issued. A payable order in respect of arrears due to her is also in process of payment.
