Vol. 228 No. 4

Committee on Finance. - Air Companies (Amendment) Bill, 1967: Money Resolution.

I move:

That it is expedient to authorise such charges on and payments out of the Central Fund or the growing produce thereof and such payments out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas as are necessary to give effect to any Act of the present session to increase the limit on the guarantees of borrowing by Aerlínte Éireann, Teoranta, which may be given by the Minister for Finance.

Question put and agreed to.
Resolution reported and agreed to.
Agreed to take remaining Stages today.
Bill considered in Committee.
Section I agreed to.
SECTION 2.
Question proposed: "That section 2 stand part of the Bill."

Is there any hope of making section 2 more intelligible?

I think the Deputy has sufficient knowledge of legal documents to understand it.

I personally understand it after great difficulty.

It is really a section which refers to three sections of the Air Companies Act, 1960, and it does no more than I indicated on the Second Stage of the Bill. It does absolutely nothing more.

I would like to see it in Irish.

Question put and agreed to.
Section 3 agreed to.
Title agreed to.
Bill reported without amendment, received for final consideration and passed.

This is a Money Bill within the meaning of Article 22 of the Constitution.

The Dáil adjourned at 7.35 p.m. until 11.30 a.m. on Wednesday, 3rd May, 1967.
