Vol. 229 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Rates.

65.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state in respect of County Donegal for the years 1966-67 and 1967-68 the net difference in the pound payable on agricultural land the PLV of which (a) does not exceed £20, and (b) is between £20 and £35.

As the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to circulate it with the Official Report.

Following is the statement:

TABLE showing in respect of Co. Donegal the difference, between 1966/67 and 1967/68, in the net rate leviable in respect of each £ valuation of holdings with a total land valuation of up to £35.

NOTES.

1. Figures are based on the general rate in £ struck by Donegal County Council for 1966/67 and 1967/68.

2. For purpose of calculating net rate per £ land valuation, the total of the general rates leviable less the agricultural grant primary and supplementary allowances is divided by the amount of the land valuation of the holding.
