(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government the total allocation to date for the current financial year to Tipperary South Riding County Council in respect of (a) sanitary services and (b) the building of new cottages.

The capital allocation made to Tipperary (SR) County Council in the present financial year in respect of sanitary and miscellaneous services works is £74,000 and for the construction of local authority houses is £75,000. These allocations are initial ones and are intended to provide for existing commitments on foot of works already approved.

Consideration will be given to the making of supplementary allocations according as additional proposals are approved.

(South Tipperary) asked the Minister for Local Government the amount allocated to Tipperary South Riding County Council for sanitary services for 1965-66, 1966-67 and 1967-68.

Tipperary South Riding County Council were not restricted to a specific allocation to finance capital expenditure on sanitary and miscellaneous services during 1965-66. Their allocation for these purposes for 1966-67 amounted to £125,139. The initial allocation to date for 1967-68 which provides for existing commitments on foot of works already approved is £74,000. Consideration will be given to the making of supplementary allocations in the current financial year according as additional proposals are approved.
