Vol. 230 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Industrial Psychologist.

3.

asked the Minister for Labour whether the appointment of an industrial psychologist has yet been made; whether a specialist firm is to be appointed; and if he will give the name of the appointee.

The appointment of an industrial psychologist in my Department has not yet been made. It is not proposed to engage the services of a specialist firm in the making of the appointment.

Could the Minister give us any information as to why this appointment has not been made? I remember on the Estimate this appointment was considered to be an important aspect of the Department's work.

There was a competition which was abortive. They did not get anybody.
