Vol. 230 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - State Company Subsidiary.

138.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is aware of the difficulties being experienced by an industry (name supplied) which is a subsidiary of a State company under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries; and whether any consultations have taken place with his Department with a view to formulating plans to make this industry viable.

The industrial concern to which the question refers is primarily the responsibility of the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries for whom I understand the Deputy has put down a question on the same subject. Certain consultations have taken place with my Department regarding the future of the company.
