Vol. 230 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Water Supply Schemes.

3.

asked the Minister for Local Government the present position with regard to the Rising Sun and Templemartin, County Cork, group water supply schemes; and when he expects that work on each of these schemes will commence.

A yield test on the proposed source for the group schemes at the Rising Sun was carried out recently by Cork County Council. Their report on the test is not sufficiently detailed and further information on the adequacy of the source is being sought from the council. I am not in a position to say when work will commence.

A revised design of the scheme at Templemartin was recently received and is satisfactory. Work can commence when suitable quotations for the different elements of the scheme are available.
