I understand that the delay has been occasioned by the fact that the tenderer selected for the construction of the pool is not in a position to undertake the contract. I am informed that arrangements are in progress to have the contract placed with another tenderer.
(Clare): Can the Minister say if money is being allocated in this financial year for this?
Yes, this was authorised, but the tenderer who was selected did not go ahead with the contract and now it is a matter of having the contract placed with the next lowest tenderer.
