Vol. 231 No. 11

Ceistenna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Cottage Sites.

20.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange with Kerry County Council for the acquisition of sufficient land from the Land Commission at Caragh Bridge, Glenbeigh, for the erection of six cottages, as they are urgently required there and as the Land Commission are agreeable to give the land.

My prior approval is not required for the acquisition by agreement of housing sites which comply with certain minimum prescribed standards. I understand that Kerry County Council are considering the acquisition for housing purposes of two small sites at Caragh Bridge, Glenbeigh, and that the planning implications of such proposals are at present being examined.
