Vol. 231 No. 11

Ceistenna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway Commonage.

26.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the Ballinamona commonage, Ballybane, Ballyglunin, County Galway.

The commonage at Ballynamona comprises 85 acres and is held in undivided shares by ten co-owners. In reply to some enquiries received within the past few years regarding the partitioning of this commonage, the persons concerned were advised by the Land Commission to submit applications and maps in accordance with the statutes but so far this has not been done. The relevant statutes are section 24, Land Act, 1939; section 25, Land Act, 1950; section 23, Land Act, 1953 and section 41, Land Act, 1965.
