Vol. 232 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Irish Exports Fashion Fair.

37.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether his attention has been drawn to reports of a statement on behalf of a firm that this firm had refused to participate in the 1968 Irish exports fashion fair on the grounds that a foreign firm had been engaged to organise the event; and, if so, if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have seen the reports mentioned by the Deputy. The organisation of the Irish Export Fashion Fair is handled by a committee elected by the exhibitors, acting with Córas Tráchtála. I would refer the Deputy to the full statement issued recently by the exhibitors' committee regarding the organisation of the fashion parades.
