asked the Minister for Health if there are any plans in hand to improve the dental service operated in the clinics of Dublin Health Authority.

Dublin Health Authority have approval to employ 26 wholetime dentists. A proposal to increase the number of dental posts to 31 has recently been submitted to my Department and is being considered. A decision will issue shortly to the authority.

Dublin Health Authority also have plans for the provision of six new dental surgeries to provide accommodation for patients in recently builtup areas and to relieve the pressure on existing surgeries.
