45.

asked the Minister for Finance whether legal action has been threatened to prevent the drainage of the River Boyne; and, if so, by whom such proceedings are being taken.

High Court proceedings are being taken in connection with the scheme prepared for the Boyne catchment. The plaintiffs seek an injunction to restrain the Commissioners of Public Works from submitting the scheme to the Minister for Finance for confirmation or from putting it into operation.

The plaintiffs are:

2. Robert Law at Rosnaree, Slane in the County of Meath, Farmer.

3. William R. Searle at Dunmoe Cottage, Navan in the County of Meath, Farmer.

4. Beresford Ivor Fitzherbert at Swynnerton, Navan in the County of Meath, Farmer.
