Vol. 232 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Redundant Forestry Workers.

27.

asked the Minister for Lands the number of forestry employees declared redundant in the financial year 1967-68 who were not eligible for the gratuity.

The net reduction in the number of forestry employees between the 1st April, 1967, and 29th December, 1967, was 167. There are no figures available of the number who would have been eligible for gratuities under the Redundancy Act but gratuities under the Superannuation Acts were paid to all those eligible.
