Vol. 233 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wool Marketing Bill.

19.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when he expects to be in a position to circulate the Wool Marketing Bill, 1967.

I expect that the Wool Marketing Bill, 1968 will be circulated to Deputies this week.

Can the Minister say what is the difference between the Bill down for First Reading on the Order Paper today and the Bill already on the Order Paper?

There is no real difference.

Can the Minister say if it is likely that this will operate to effect an improvement in wool prices during the current year?

We are hoping when it comes into operation there will be an improvement in the actual marketing operation. That is the whole intention behind the Bill.
