The appointment of a surgeon for Sligo and Manorhamilton Hospitals has been sanctioned by my Department. As the working out of agreed terms of appointment for the permanent post is likely to take some time, I have suggested to the health authorities concerned that, in order that an appointment will be made as soon as possible, it should be made initially on a temporary basis.
