Retail prices of seed oats at present vary between 65/- and 90/- per barrel depending upon whether the seed is homegrown commercial seed, homegrown certified seed or imported seed.
Growers who are participating in my Department's certified seed scheme and field approved scheme already have guaranteed prices for seed oats produced by them. I am anxious that more growers should participate in these schemes and thereby qualify for guaranteed prices.
