64.

asked the Minister for Education if he will make a statement on the future of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in his Department's plans for higher education in Dublin.

The question of the future of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland is among the many matters arising from the report of the Commission on Higher Education which are under consideration in my Department.

Has the Minister any idea when a decision will be made on this?

You can be certain it will be made in the coming months. There are a number of decisions which are to be made arising out of this. We will have a decision on all of them during the coming months.
