asked the Minister for Finance the amount spent on restoration and improvement of the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, Dublin in each of the last five years; and the intention of the Government regarding its future.

The amount spent on restoration work at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, in each of the last five years was as follows:—

A considerable amount of restoration and adaptation work has yet to be planned and executed. It is the intention, when this work has been completed, that the buildings will be opened to the public as a Folk Museum and as a showpiece of 17th century architecture.
