I have been informed by Mayo County Council that the total amount spent in the year 1967 by that body for hackney transport in connection with hospitalisation was £604 12s 11d. The expenditure for this purpose in Ballina amounted to £352 18s and in Castlebar to £115 11s 8d. In Wesport and Swinford the expenditure was nil.
