Vol. 234 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Kiosk and Letter Box.

9.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will make arrangements to have a telephone kiosk and a letter box provided in Pearse Brothers' Park, Rathfarnham, Dublin.

The provision of a kiosk at Pearse Brothers' Park is not justified at present. However, as stated in reply to a similar question in October last, the matter is being kept under review in the light of housing developments in the area.

The provision of a letter box is not warranted.

Is the Minister aware that this is an area where there are no private telephones? This is a working class area and these people have no access, within reasonable distance, to a telephone in an emergency?

The matter is being reconsidered.

Question No. 10 withdrawn.
