The per caput consumption of milk in Ireland is already one of the highest in the world but the National Dairy Publicity Council is nevertheless devoting a substantial proportion of its activities towards encouraging a still higher level of consumption. The Council's plans for this year include increased promotion of milk consumption in hotels and it is intended that this promotional work will be extended in due course to other catering establishments, including snack bars.
