Vol. 234 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry Bridge.

30.

asked the Minister for Local Government if his Department received proposals from Kerry County Council for the erection of a new bridge at Annascaul; the date on which these proposals were received in his Department; and the date by which a decision may be expected.

A proposal for the construction of the bridge referred to and for realignment of the road at the location was submitted to my Department by Kerry County Council on 20th March, 1968. The details of the proposal have been discussed with engineering officers of the council by officers of my Department and in the light of that discussion the plans are being revised. I do not anticipate any undue delay in the issue of approval to the proposal on receipt of the revised plans.
