Road improvement grants amounting to £201,600 have been notified to Meath County Council for the current financial year. The council will also receive the usual main road upkeep grant representing 50 per cent of approved expenditure on the maintenance of their main roads; the amount of the allocation under this heading cannot be given pending receipt and examination of details of the provisions being made by the council for this purpose.
